South Florida is not only one of the United States’ premier tourist destinations, the region in recent years has been one of the hottest real estate markets for new residents migrating from other states.
In light of that trend, the Redfin Blog in July 2024 featured a primer on Major League Baseball in Miami for the benefit of newcomers with input from a number of local sources, including Craigslegztravels.com.

FROM THE REDFIN BLOG | Baseball Games in Miami: A Guide to MLB Season and Beyond

My contribution focused on distinctive aspects of attending a Miami Marlins game at loanDepot park, including regionally inspired food options and the cultural diversity that is celebrated at the ballpark.
The Marlins scheduled 17 Heritage Celebration games for 2024 that showcase traditional music, dance and authentic cuisine of various nations and ethnic backgrounds. I attended the Puerto Rican and Venezuelan Heritage games in 2023 and enjoyed the passion and ethnic energy that the fans with those backgrounds brought to the ballpark.
A number of Heritage Celebration games are on the schedule during the final two months of the baseball season, including Jamaican (Aug. 9), Dominican Republic (Aug. 10), Irish-American (Aug. 11) and Asian-American/Native-Hawaiian Pacific Islander (Aug. 21). Visit the Marlins’ site for details on all of the remaining games in the 2024 Heritage Celebration series.
This season four local street artists were invited to design special jerseys for the Cuban (May 18), Puerto Rican (June 8), Venezuelan (July 20) and Dominican Republic (August 10) heritage games, which are included with the ticket package for those games.
Check out Miami artist ABSTRK discussing his background and approach to designing the Cuban Heritage jersey.
